September 25, 2021 - Welcome Back Bowlers 9-Pin No Tap Singles FINAL Results

After almost a year and a half of sitting on the side line because of the pandemic, bowlers finally made it back to the Association's Welcome Back Bowlers Tournament.  It was great to see a lot of familiar faces on the lanes that numbered 115.  During the course of this 9-Pin No Tap contest, there were 6 No Tap 300 rolled and 2 11-in-a-Row games.  Overall, the bowlers were just thrilled to be back bowling in a tournament.  Congratulations to Georgianne Carls (159 & Below), Eric Ichikawa (160- 189), and Ty Dawson (190 & Over) for winning their respective divisions.  And thanks to all the members who came out to support the Association's tournament!  Welcome Back Bowlers!!  For all the results, click here.

February 18, 2021 - Support Your Santa Clara County USBC GoFundMe Campaign

Bowling Members, as you know the volunteers on the Santa Clara County USBC Association Board of Directors, like you, are all passionate with the sport of bowling and miss serving and supporting our members.  Due to the pandemic, bowling in California has been locked down.  The Association relies heavily on membership dues to run our non-profit, but since leagues are unable to start, we are reaching out to our members for donations to keep our organization afloat until our members can return to the sport.

If you want to make a donation, please click on this link – gofundme Santa Clara County USBC .  Any donation large or small would be much appreciated!

September 29, 2020 - Welcome Again Bowlers

As we weather the storm through this COVID-19 pandemic, we can only hope that our bowling centers will reopen soon so we can all get back on the lanes to enjoy the sport we love and reconnect with our fellow bowlers.  To date we still have not heard from the state, county, or bowling centers about a possible reopening date.  We will update this space when we hear from any of them.

In these ever-changing times, many people are looking for a non-contact way of doing business. USBC provides online membership renewal services for those wishing to avoid paperwork or physical transactions of funds.

As we wait for the reopening of our bowling centers, we are encouraging our bowlers to purchase your 2020-2021 USBC cards online (through BOWL.com) in anticipation of league reopening soon and to allow you to bowl tournaments that other centers or states may be offering.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Association Office at (408) 453-5080 or send an email to scvbabowl@sbcglobal.net.

Take care, be safe, and be well.

August 12, 2020 - Welcome Bowlers

What a year this has been or is going to be. We know that bowling centers don’t know when and how they will be re-opening or when our leagues will begin.  We will update this space when we hear from the bowling centers.

Santa Clara County USBC just wants you to know that we are with you. We are encouraging our bowlers to go to Bowl.com to purchase your 2020-2021 USBC cards. This will give you a heads-up when leagues begin. It would also allow you to bowl tournaments that other centers or states may be offering.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Association Office at (408) 453-5080.

Take care, be safe, and be well.

June 30, 2020 - City Tournament cancellation and Upcoming events

To our SCCUSBC Members,

After careful consideration and consultation with 4th Street Bowl management, the SCCUSBC Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2020 City Tournament that was re-scheduled from late March to July 25th & 26th after the Santa Clara County shelter-in-place order was issued.  We had hoped that moving it to July would allow time for the bowling center to be reopened and prepared to host the tournament but that, unfortunately, did not happen.  We look forward to hosting our City tournament bigger and better in 2021!

Looking ahead, the SCCUSBC is hoping that we will still be able to give you fun tournament bowling this summer as we have our 9-pin No-Tap doubles currently scheduled for August 23rd at 4th Street Bowl.  Stay tuned for further updates as our county and state continues to reopen.

Be safe and healthy,
The SCCUSBC Board of Directors

May 19, 2020 - Update to SCCUSBC Response to COVID-19

Due to the continued shelter-in-place order in Santa Clara County, the SCCUSBC board has made the decision to cancel all our June events.

Our Youth tournament scheduled for June 20th is cancelled and we will look to have one in the spring of 2021.

Our Open Meeting scheduled for June 6th is cancelled. At this time, a new date has not been set.

Lastly, our City tournament is still scheduled for July 25th & 26th at 4th street bowl.  We are hoping that we will be able to run the tournament with modifications that will comply with the Santa Clara County health guidelines.

Please continue to check this website for updates in the coming weeks.
